Unlike a conventional LED strip installed only around an edge, this RGB flexible LED light sheet distributes SMD5050 RGB LEDs across the backlit surface. It helps create colorful illumination for decorative panels, advertising light boxes, display cabinets, hotel interiors, KTV spaces, furniture and architectural lighting features.

Yes, absolutely. The NPHIS RGB 5050 flexible LED sheet is engineered with a modular, highly versatile cutting grid. You can cut the sheet vertically, horizontally, or diagonally along the designated cutting lines (typically every single LED or in small grids, depending on the specific wiring layout). This allows sign-makers and fixture manufacturers to easily wrap columns, fit curved reception desks, or create complex backlit shapes (like letters and logos) on-site.
02. What is the minimum depth required to avoid hotspots or shadows when backlighting with this RGB sheet?
Thanks to the high density of our premium 5050 SMD LEDs and their wide 120∘ beam angle, you can achieve perfectly uniform, dot-free illumination with a very shallow profile. With a standard acrylic diffuser, we recommend a minimum depth of 40mm to 50mm (1.5″ to 2″) between the LED sheet and the diffuser. With translucent stone (Onyx/Marble) or fabric, a depth of 50mm+ (2″+) is recommended, depending on the material’s transparency. If your project has an ultra-shallow cavity (under 30mm / 1.2″), please contact our engineering team. We can provide custom high-density layouts or recommend optical diffusion films to eliminate hotspots.

04. How do I calculate the power supply and manage voltage drop for large-scale installations?
Our RGB sheets are designed to run on 24V DC (12V DC is also available for automotive/specialty projects) to minimize voltage drop. For power calculation, multiply the total wattage per sheet by the number of sheets, and always add a 20% safety margin (NEC Class 2 guidelines in North America recommend running power supplies at no more than 80% capacity). To prevent visible voltage drop (dimming at the far end), we recommend a maximum continuous run of 6 to 8 sheets on a single power feed. For larger areas, you must run parallel power feeds back to the driver or inject power at multiple points.
