RGB Flex LED Sheet for Light Boxes, Ceilings, Displays & Decorative Lighting Stone
Unlike a conventional LED strip installed only around an edge, this RGB flexible LED light sheet distributes SMD5050 RGB LEDs across the backlit surface. It helps create colorful illumination for decorative panels, advertising light boxes, display cabinets, hotel interiors, KTV spaces, furniture and architectural lighting features.
The repeatable 480 × 240 mm panel format helps lighting brands, contractors, wholesalers and project procurement teams estimate sheet quantity, power branches, RGB controller capacity and service access before installation.
Use a compatible RGB controller to mix red, green and blue light for static colors, color-changing scenes and project-specific ambient lighting effects. Confirm the final lighting appearance, wiring method and control compatibility with a physical sample before mass production.

Plan multiple RGB LED sheets around a suitably rated DC24V constant-voltage power supply and a compatible RGB controller. For centralized power distribution, connect panel input leads in parallel and use suitably sized cable according to total load, cable length and installation conditions.
For layouts exceeding 10 continuously connected sheets, use an additional power supply or add parallel power injection. Confirm controller channel capacity, voltage drop, wiring routes and maintenance access before installation.

01. Can the NPHIS RGB 5050 flexible LED sheet be cut into custom shapes, and how does the cutting grid work?
Yes, absolutely. The NPHIS RGB 5050 flexible LED sheet is engineered with a modular, highly versatile cutting grid. You can cut the sheet vertically, horizontally, or diagonally along the designated cutting lines (typically every single LED or in small grids, depending on the specific wiring layout). This allows sign-makers and fixture manufacturers to easily wrap columns, fit curved reception desks, or create complex backlit shapes (like letters and logos) on-site.
02. What is the minimum depth required to avoid hotspots or shadows when backlighting with this RGB sheet?
Thanks to the high density of our premium 5050 SMD LEDs and their wide 120∘ beam angle, you can achieve perfectly uniform, dot-free illumination with a very shallow profile. With a standard acrylic diffuser, we recommend a minimum depth of 40mm to 50mm (1.5″ to 2″) between the LED sheet and the diffuser. With translucent stone (Onyx/Marble) or fabric, a depth of 50mm+ (2″+) is recommended, depending on the material’s transparency. If your project has an ultra-shallow cavity (under 30mm / 1.2″), please contact our engineering team. We can provide custom high-density layouts or recommend optical diffusion films to eliminate hotspots.
03. What control systems are compatible with this RGB 5050 LED sheet? Can it integrate with DMX512 or smart automation?
Our RGB 5050 flexible LED sheet operates on a standard 4-wire, common anode (12V/24V DC) system. It is fully compatible with almost all multi-channel low-voltage controllers on the global market, including DMX512 / RDM Decoders (ideal for commercial facades, stage lighting, and theatrical installations in the US and Europe), DALI-2 / 0-10V / Triac Systems (perfect for high-end European architectural lighting integration), and RF / Bluetooth / Wi-Fi / Tuya / Zigbee Controllers (great for retail displays, residential coves, and smart home setups). NPHIS can supply the matched controllers and DMX decoders as a complete plug-and-play system for your project.
04. How do I calculate the power supply and manage voltage drop for large-scale installations?
Our RGB sheets are designed to run on 24V DC (12V DC is also available for automotive/specialty projects) to minimize voltage drop. For power calculation, multiply the total wattage per sheet by the number of sheets, and always add a 20% safety margin (NEC Class 2 guidelines in North America recommend running power supplies at no more than 80% capacity). To prevent visible voltage drop (dimming at the far end), we recommend a maximum continuous run of 6 to 8 sheets on a single power feed. For larger areas, you must run parallel power feeds back to the driver or inject power at multiple points.
05. Does this RGB 5050 LED sheet carry UL, CE, or RoHS certifications for commercial projects?
Yes. NPHIS is a professional, export-oriented manufacturer. Our flexible LED sheets are manufactured in compliance with international safety and environmental standards. We offer versions that comply with CE (LVD/EMC) and RoHS for the European Union and UK markets, as well as components suitable for UL-listed / Class 2 installations in the United States and Canada. If your commercial project requires specific laboratory test reports or certification marks to pass local building inspections, please specify this in your RFQ, and we will provide the corresponding certified models.
06. How does NPHIS ensure color consistency (binning) across multiple orders or large project phases?
Color consistency is critical for brand identity (e.g., chain store rollouts). NPHIS utilizes a strict 3-Step MacAdam Ellipse (SDCM < 3) binning process for our SMD 5050 LEDs. We record the specific color bin codes for every batch. If your project is split into multiple phases, we will lock and reserve LEDs from the same bin to ensure that a sheet installed in Phase 2 matches Phase 1 perfectly.
07. What mounting options are available for installing the sheet on curved, metal, or wooden surfaces?
The NPHIS flexible LED sheet offers multiple secure mounting methods. First, double-sided adhesive: the back of the sheet comes standard with genuine 3M™ adhesive tape (such as 3M 300LSE or VHB for high-bond requirements), which adheres firmly to smooth metal, acrylic, or plastic surfaces. Second, screw mounting: the sheet features integrated, non-conductive mounting holes throughout the grid, allowing you to secure it mechanically to wood, drywall, or textured surfaces using screws without damaging the circuitry. Third, solderless connectors: we offer optional snap-on, solderless wire connectors for quick on-site connection without soldering.
08. Can NPHIS customize the LED density, sheet size, or waterproof rating for OEM/ODM projects?
As a direct manufacturer, NPHIS offers full OEM/ODM customization services for bulk orders. For waterproofing, standard sheets are IP20 (indoor), but we can customize them to IP65 (conformal coating) or IP67 (silicone tube/encapsulation) for damp locations or outdoor sign cabinets. For custom sizes and LED density, we can design custom PCB sizes, adjust LED spacing, or change to RGBW / RGBCCT chips to meet your specific lumen output and budget requirements. Private labeling, including custom logo printing on the PCB and customized packaging, is also available.
