For edge light applications where color consistency across multiple bars is critical, using OSRAM chips ensures all bars in a lightbox match precisely — something that generic chips cannot reliably guarantee.
In a lightbox, multiple edge light bars are installed side by side. Without constant current control, small variations in supply voltage or LED forward voltage can cause visible brightness differences between bars — creating uneven illumination that is immediately noticeable on a backlit panel. The PT4115 IC on each bar regulates current precisely, ensuring all bars maintain identical brightness regardless of voltage fluctuations. This is the single most important feature for achieving professional-grade lightbox uniformity.
The standard 10x30 degree beam angle is optimized for light guide panels (LGP) between 10mm and 30mm thickness. The narrow 10-degree axis efficiently couples light into the panel edge, while the 30-degree axis provides the spread needed for uniform distribution. For thinner panels (6–8mm), we recommend a narrower beam angle; for thicker panels (35–50mm), a wider beam angle may be more appropriate. Please specify your panel thickness when placing your inquiry so we can recommend the optimal beam angle for your application.
Standard acrylic lens materials typically achieve 92–95% light transmittance and are prone to yellowing after prolonged UV exposure. Mitsubishi PMMA achieves 99% transmittance — the highest available — and maintains optical clarity throughout the product lifespan without yellowing. This means more light output from the same chip, and consistent optical performance over years of operation. For high-end retail and exhibition lightboxes where color accuracy and long-term consistency are essential, Mitsubishi PMMA is the only acceptable lens material.
For standard specifications (common CCT, voltage, and bar length), our MOQ starts from 1,000 pieces per order. For custom OEM orders with private labeling or non-standard specifications, the MOQ is 3,000 pieces. Yes. Because each bar has a built-in PT4115 constant current IC, the bars accept standard 12V or 24V DC constant voltage power supplies — the same type used for standard LED strips. You do not need a special constant current driver. Simply connect multiple bars in parallel to a standard LED power supply of appropriate wattage. The PT4115 IC on each bar handles current regulation independently. We recommend using a Meanwell or equivalent quality power supply for best results.
